The Disease Control Department is responsible for the detection and confirmation of any suspected communicable diseases in relation to the visa screening mandatory testing requirements within Abu Dhabi. We are required to report any communicable diseases to HAAD and these include Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and Syphilis and other communicable diseases, such as Leprosy.
The Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD) is responsible for setting the policies and regulations for disease control in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including the visa screening program.
